Zine

In this project, Man Ching Ying Pheobe was a Hong Kong artist to whom the artist would like to pay tribute. She picked Man's artwork Erosion of Home in 2014, which is about housing speculation for her zine. With high rental prices and little space in Hong Kong, Man thought that these problems burdened the art industry and people's lives.

Referring to Man's quote - '想做生意的，想做藝術的，都應該有空間去實現自己。' (People who want to do business or create artwork should have a space to achieve their thoughts.). She used the contrast between a small circle with a small space and another circle that has a larger area. The circle in a small square represents the Hong Kong people and artists having small flats due to housing speculation, and they can hardly do what they want. In contrast, they can easily do what they like when they have a larger space.
